What's different online

An online lesson isn't the same as sharing a room. These points are worth knowing in advance.

Latency
On an ordinary video call the sound arrives late, so singing along with the teacher's accompaniment may not work.
Audio processing
Calling apps suppress noise and even out volume. Your voice may sound different, and quiet or sustained notes can get lost.
The frame
The teacher only sees what the camera shows.
Space at home
At home it can be hard to sing at full voice without distractions.
Dropped calls
The connection can drop in the middle of an exercise.

If you're not sure the online format suits you, ask about it in your message.

Your first lesson

You don't need to prepare anything special. Just bring:

A good mood
